Before I Die
“Before I Die” is a project by Candy Chang who is a public installation artist, designer, urban planner, and co-founder of Civic Center who likes to make cities more comfortable for people.
In this project she turned the side of an abandoned house in her neighborhood into a giant chalkboard where residents can write on the wall and remember what is important to them. Before I Die transforms neglected spaces into constructive ones where we can learn the hopes and aspirations of the people around us.

it is creative but I think ‘before I die’ should not be repeated much and there should not be a constructive lines . I saw in a museum something like that. People were writing their names at their height levels. Here is the link if you look at that. 🙂

thank you for the link. this one looks much more better, also it is more personal because the place they’re writing has some relation with them. but i don’t know ‘before i die’ gives me the feeling that it is more natural, people can see the wall while they are walking, stop by and write their wishes. the one you send is for the people who are visiting the exhibition. but like it too. thanks
I am impessed by the idea:) I think you are right about that it gives a natural feeling. Any people could write what they feel or want freely.. Also I think I like the repetion. First it is written with huge, bold characters then they repeated them smaller .. I liked overall appereance.
